Bright Smiles Ride 2020
Thursday evening 30th April to Monday lunchtime 4th May 2020
COVID-19 and the 2020 Bright Smiles Charity Ride, and FAQ’s
On Sunday, the Australian government announced further restrictions to more effectively reduce the transmission of COVID-19 across the country. Part of this is the suspension of non-essential travel. Given the speed at which the landscape around is evolving and to avoid any ongoing uncertainty, I have decided to cancel the BSCR scheduled for 30th April, with immediate effect.
Whilst now more than ever, the Flying Doctor needs funds to support their work, the health and safety of our participants and the rural communities we support are ours and the RFDS utmost priority.
The 2020 Bright Smiles route is:
Thursday evening 30th April - Welcome dinner at Austinmer
Friday night 1st May - Austinmer - Mogo - Tathra
Saturday 2nd May - Tathra - Cann River - Mallacoota
Sunday 3rd May - Mallacoota - Kiandra - Tumut
Monday 4th May - Tumut - Bundanoon

The 2020 Bright Smiles Charity Ride is a four night and 3.5 day long bitumen motorbike event that will take place from Thursday evening 30th April to Monday lunchtime 4th May, 2020.
The route each year is designed to start and finish within easy riding distance of the Sydney metropolitan area, giving Sydney/Newcastle/ Wollongong based riders plenty of time to arrive after work on the Thursday, and to get home in time for dinner on the Monday.
All of the funds raised will go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service South East Section to help provide much needed dental care to remote and rural Australians.
